Alright, sounds like we got one more snow storm coming in Sunday night, then I'll be making the switch to summer wheels and tires.  Here's what I'm considering right now.  I'm still completely undecided on color, and most of these are available in hyper silver, gunmetal gray, black, and gold.  All are on the table as possibilities right now.  So if you like one of the wheels in the poll, but in a different color, please say so in the comments.  Likely running 225 width tires on both the front and rear (I don't want to do the staggered setup some guys are running).

Are the RPF1s available in the dark gunmetal Enkei had for a while?

If so: those.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Gold wheels would be douchey. I know it's true to the rally heritage blah blah blah, but you know who else cares about that? Bros with lids.

#2 and last one are my picks.

I'd pick OZ...when I was in college all I wanted was a blue WRX with gold OZ superleggera wheels.

EKM3 and Lusso look meh, TSW and Raijin look OK, the OZ's look meh as well (and you might as well save a ton of cash and go with XXR 527s), and the RPF1 looks weird if it's not at least 9" wide (which is pushing it for a 225 wheel).

So none.

They're heavy though :/

My coworker said I should get something outrageous like red wheels.  I laughed, but I sadly do like the look of these:

Has just as much to do with the offset as it does the width, right?

I didn't know you were going with a 9" wheel. I figured you were going 8 or less because you said you'd get 225 tires and that's pretty narrow on a 9" rim. In that case, RPF1 in SBC for sure. Gold is also nice.

I don't believe so. Don't quote me on that, though.

All the low offset convex RPF1's I've seen have a really deep center hub.

The front wheel is an 8" and is convex and the center is super sunken in. They could've made that concave but I don't think they make 8" wheels concave.

Just because of the lip? You know that's a function of offset more than overall width, right?

Not the lip, the spokes. FWIW I don't like deep lip wheels. I hate the convex spokes on the narrower wheels and as I said in the post above, as far as I can tell from the research I've done, whether an RPF1 is convex vs concave depends on the width, not offset.

I like the clean look of the TSW's. all the wheels pretty much have the same design concept (except the OZ's), and the TSWs pull it off really cleanly...mostly due to the smooth center hub. Looks great.

Why would you get non-OE wheels and non-OE tyres? Nobody knows what is better for your car than the OEM. They invested millions of dollars engineering your car, so why waste money ruining it? It's just a cheap little 4-banger Toyota, anyway. You couldn't possibly change anything about your car to suit your own purposes. If you think you need to change it, then you really just need to get rid of it and buy a different car.
