When I first started driving, nobody wore them.  I didn't start wearing one until I was driving about 10 years.   Now it's a habit.

Same here... Plus my car beeps loudly and annoyingly until you put it on. So it's sort of unavoidable.

Would you write one on its own merits that was unconnected to another violation, such as speeding?

Not really possible in Ohio. It's a secondary violation for which I can't make a stop. I have to have a primary violation to even have contact for a seat belt violation.

The only primary restraint violation in Ohio is child seat and that's a different story for me. I'll write those all day and chew someone's ass while I do it.

I drive the Pilot now, so there's not a lot of reason to speed; although 80 on the highway is still pretty common.

On a side note though, my old Civic, which I sold to my mom?  She's driving that thing around like she's a teenager.

My balls are, and have always been exactly where they need to be.

About two years now. When the twinds were born, we bought a new minivan for the wife to haul them around in, and I sold the Civic to my mom, so I ended up driving the wife's Pilot. I was going to change that situation this year, but we ended up paying for a basement remodeling first.

Yes, I do; and reality is slowing setting in that I'll in no way be able to finish it. I have four kids running around, I'm so pressed for time I have to wipe my ass in stages.

Pretty uncommon for me to see it, given my shift. Obviously it's a more common violation on days and evenings. Fortunately, it's not that common of a violation...and the violators seem to generally be dirties who have zero parenting skills.

Yep, it's illegal here. I feel like it's a good law (texting is a major distractor), but nearly impossible to enforce. It's one of those laws that's great in theory, not so much in practice.
