I heart Jag XKR-S GT... Shows the brits still have a sense of humor unlike the rest of the world.

and the XFR-S... and the F-Type R... Damn, I have become a closet Jag fan.

Ha, ha, look at those bargain-basement Chevies...

I wish they would have an update to their graph of lb/HP vs lap time... It really pointed out the cars that get their Laotians via handling and not just power

Gosh, revelations aplenty in that article.   ;)

1st.   In general, there is a positive correlation between the price of a car and it's lap time.

2nd.  Cars optioned or oriented to high performance driving generate better track times.

Yeah, that post doesn't make a whole lotta sense. Lots of revelations:

The Z28 and Stringray play with cars costing 2x - 12x as much.

The R8 V10 and 911-T are huge laggards.

The E63 beats the Cayman and M4.

The M4 beats the Cayman S.

The GT-R beats the F12 and Viper (previously did not).

Well, you know Laotians...they love the handling.

Just noticed Ferrari put tires on the F12 that are wider than stop and gripper than stock, stating that they'll eventually be available...  LOL

Still couldnt pull away from a Z28 tho

Ferrari's PR is so corny and reinforces the unfortunate needledick stereotype. U dont see such goofiness from Lambo and Aston Martin

Those corvette numbers are just ridiculous. Crushes a r8 v10 plus?

It's the steal of the century when it comes to performance per dollar. The new Z06 should be quite a bit under 2:50 :mask:

The Z28 is a track day special.  Almost doesn't even belong in the compare other than from shits and giggles.

Ummm isnt VIR a race track

If anything vehicles like the X5M, E55, RS7 etc don't belong... and the driving impressions confirm that.

The stingray is damn impressive, the Z06 should be a monster.

M4 is about where I'd expect it to be.

Its a track car vs street cars.  Hard to compare on lap times...

Nah, the Z28 no more a track car than either the NISMO version of the GT-R or TA version of the Viper, or plenty of other past entrants such as the Boss 302, Elise, F430 Scuderia, etc,

All of the cars you listed have full interiors and things like a real radio with more than one speaker, air conditioning, some levels of sound deadening.

Why didn't you read the article? They said if was a bad oil filter.

I don't care how fast the Z/28 is, my money would(and probably will) go to a Z06 or ZR1.

O yea, me too, but its refreshing to see a car bring it to the GT-R in its playground in a way more philosophically acceptable way (no supercomputers, no AWD, no gay turbos)

This thing is IIRC 1.5 second off the GT-R Nismo's time at half the price with half the equipment (and all the weight :( ).... u gotta respect that.

GT-R is in a weird space.... 911 Turbo is basically in its league and could probably stay within a second of it on equal tires. Seems like the 911 is a much better value... same performance with much more refinement/usability. U would have to be a real fanboy to pay 911 Turbo money for a GT-R

CALL_911

At the GTRs age, I'd really hope it would start to see some stiff competition
