I thought about a G8 GT, but low mileage examples are still outrageously priced.

100K on mine but I'll give you a hell of a deal!

You're going to drive $130k+ worth of cars and make your wife drive a focus? :wtf:

Good point you brought up. Does she really need a new focus? Maybe a used neon or older w body?

Get her into something older and cheaper and maybe use the saved money for an upgraded leather option on one of the new cars.

I still have nightmares and oil stains from her last beater neon.

You shudda went with GM......  :mask:

I'm seriously considering replacing the G8 this spring if all goes right. I was gonna wait for the new Camaro to debut but I'm gonna spend over 30K for my next vehicle. At that price point more than likley I'll be in another C6 until C7s fall into my range.

I think it says a lot about Chrysler reliability when I'm considering going BRITISH with a replacement...

Actually I keep waffling back and forth between the hot rod and the Cobra.

All black with gold wheels and gold FIA stripes.

FlatBlackCaddy

Cobra, obviously.

My FFR priority would be

Cobra
Type 65
GTM
818
then, since they don't make a bathtube that you can put a bike motor in
hot rod kit

At the moment, if I had to guess, one of 2000-1 SL500, 2005-11 SLK55, or new GTI.

But it's probably going to be 4+ years.

I read that first car as "2000 SL1"

And I immediately thought, "why the fuck is he loaded and sticking to buying beater Saturns?"

Those things get 40 mpg easy. Gas prices are bound to go up again, man.

Hot Rod kit would be cool since you can stick super wide wheels all around and it's just as good of a chassis as the Cobra.

Cobra

Leaning that way since I pretty much convinced my dad to build a Hot Rod. Plus a super fast 60's roadster with a nice wood steering wheel is always tempting.

My old one drank less oil than my current tree fiddy does. But that car was in immaculate condition compared to most.

If I get this new job, I'll keep the Focus for a little while and then get a new XC90 as a company car.  Need to see how it all plays out.

Why an XC90? Rear seat banging? How old are you man?

I'm going to drive this one into the ground like the last one.

My luck I'll end up with another compact black manual sedan. :violin: :wtf:

Depending on price, that could be a good deal.

Ive got a 20 year old rusty f150 with over 200k miles. Why on earth would I want a new vehicle.

Would you pay for the XC90? That's a lot of dough if you are.

Yes.  Corporate lease is incredible.  The service adviser that just left (see where I'm going with this?) pays less than $300 for his S60 T5 lease.

Service writing sucks. Loads of hours, and not as much pay considering how many hours one works

I'm pretty damn cheap...but not that cheap...

I'd have a new car, but I'm planning on getting my MBA in London beginning next year. So obviously doesn't make sense to buy a car a year and a half before leaving the country for two years. And then when I return I'll probably be pretty focused on funding a down payment on a house (my progress vs that will likely dictate the timeline for buying a new car).
