Wow....

They took a vehicle that looked quite different from everything else in its category, and actually looked good. And made something that somehow manages to look like every vehicle ever made. Im not even exaggerating there. Honda has some very big issues.

While it is fairly generic, it is certainly preferable to the current model, which is just plain awkward. Nice improvement for sure! Honda is back on point.

From C&D's description, the AWD sounds like the GNK unit in the Evoque and Focus RS.

I like the current model. Always have. It's not particularly beautiful, but auto design has become commodified that just being different is of value.

I bet it will be. Honda's sweet spot has always been pleasantly anonymous styling (witness, first gen Pilot). That's why everyone likes the current Accord so much versus the two prior generations.

I don't know about the 7th gen as I always liked it a lot, but the 8th gen was just straight up ugly.

The 7th gen (2003-2007) sedan was by far the ugliest Accord sedan of all time. Facelift coupe was nice. 8th gen was too damn big. 9th gen is not bad but still too big IMO. Bigger than the last real Acura Legend which was huge.

I dunno - Honda seems to have lost its way a bit.  The current Accord is OK but otherwise I think Honda is stumbling & Mazda has grabbed the "Mainstream but Interesting" baton.

How is this ugly?  It's aged very well IMO especially in higher trims.

+1.  Compared to the models that preceded and succeeded, the 7th gen was pretty ugly.  Also not a fan of the 80s models with pop up headlamps.
