Just as the title says.  If you had to pick one vehicle to own, for daily commuting, fun, utility, everything, what would it be?  I'm just curious what everyone thinks.

M235i.

M2 May come in just below 50K. 1M was 46K IIRC.

S3 maybe.

Mustang GT.

New: BMW 328i Touring

Used: Cadillac CTS-V Wagon

Mazda 6 I4 with a manual.   Sporty, frugal, not expensive to buy, looks good, highly rated.

Premium: S4 or my new fave the SQ5 (obviously both would have to be bought used to be under $50k). I was going to test drive the latter today but a project went longer than expected.

On a budget: G37x.

Shame they dont make a 4dr M235i. I cant do another 2dr car.

I have a few categories....

New, money no object but daily driver... M3 I guess.
New with my actual money.... GTI 4dr
Used, money no object... right now I'm feeling a 1G CTS-V. Just feels right.
Used, spending a little money... G35/37 6MT sedan.
Used and low operating costs ... I'm happy with the Civic. Consumables are dirt cheap. A set of max performance summer tires at 225/45R17 is like $400-500, brakes are cheap, gas is cheap, oil is cheap and it's fun enough to drive and easy to live with. Plus aftermarket is hella strong so my inner ricer is satiated.

Hate to say it but it would prob have to be the 4runner. I don't need the utility of an SUV every day but I need it often enough that I would like to have one in my household.

If I had access to an SUV in the household, I guess a 335i for me.

Miata.

As much as the practicality sucks, nothing else touches it for fun for the dollar.

There is a $50K price cap.

If I had the cash, a nicely optioned new Explorer would be a nice SUV choice. Plenty of power with the 3.5 or Ecoboost.

For me, it would have to be a hatch or wagon. So...

Golf R
GTI
Focus RS
WRX Wagon/Hatch

Pretty much it. We don't don't focus on all around performance vehicles much in this country.

Waiting to see how it drives.

Not even crazy about the R or S3 though, I really hate that brake vectoring bullshit. Hi po brakes are expensive enough, they just passed the cost of an actual LSD to the customer.

Ideal $50K DD for me would have 4 doors, 6 cylinders, 6-7MT, RWD, mechanical or viscous LSD and weigh less than 3500lbs. Crazy that that doesn't exist. Even the M235i is 3500+. 335i is a gallon of milk under 3600. My old Maxima could come in at like 2900lbs with a full interior. Shit cray bruh.

Because in the good old days they just gave away LSDs to all comers.

Because I've not yet seen a car listed here that can actually do anything besides carry people over paved roads. I've certainly not seen one that can run on used crankcase oil or tequila.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

I think his rules are stupid, so I substituted my own. No one car can do everything, it's a terrible question.

Not saying they have to be free, I'd gladly pay for one. Just give me the option. A nicely setup LSD... even a viscous one... makes a world of difference. I had a Quaife mechanical LSD on my 2nd Accord and the way that thing pulled its way into corners, you would think it had torque vectoring. It was great.

It's not a stupid question at all.  Most people can't or don't want more than one car per driver in the house.
