I leased a Cadillac.

*sigh*

It was cheap. Don't hate too much. 308 HP is plenty.

I immediately had to do a full paint correction because, being a retired loaner car, it went through the car wash many many many times. That car wash is hell.

Dog approves.

Me sorta gusta.

-There are defects in the paint. Why am I surprised? Three pieces of dirt are trapped under the paint.
-The lift gate creaks when opening and over any sort of surface imperfection in the road.
-CUE stopped working today. I turned the car off and then on again and it started working again.

It has 4400 miles on it.

Sorta congrats...?

Its a nice looking truck, but have never driven one myself. A lady that works in my department has one and I know she loves it (bought it about a year ago).

Looks (generally) good. I like it, man.

It's a general motors product, but otherwise I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

Congrats!

Did you test drive the Lexus RX (it's main competitor) and if you did, how does it compare?

The dealer I work for sells both. If I could have gotten an RX at this price then I would have. Aside from ride quality, the outgoing RX is better in almost every way. The new RX is a lot better than this SRX. When I say this thing was cheap I mean it was cheap. I could have gotten it for $115/mo because it's a retired loaner. I paid nothing at signing at rolled over all negative equity and pay $330/mo. This thing is cheap.

CJ

I've driven the outgoing RX many many times. The ride quality, as our old pal Tim (TBR) can confirm, is fucking awful.

CALL_911

Awful? Seriously? I thought it was straight up smooth

Great deal.  Almost never see the car you got on the road and that's not meant to rip on it.  That's a good thing for variety's sake.  Didn't realize the new Lexus RX has a not so good ride which is very counterintuitive for a Lexus.

Maybe it's Dallas roads, but I swear that it has the worst ride of any loan car I've had. My bf pretty much refuses to ride in one whenever I have one. It's not good. This rides significantly better.

Yep. The ticket had NOWASH on it quite clearly. Yet it was washed. No thanks, I'll do it myself.

1. Yes. I am.

2. I'm aware that the color requires more maintenance than others. I do not give a rat's ass. Black is the best color on these. The car is currently green since it's been raining pollen.

F-Sport or regular? I've only driven the latter but it was pretty cushy.

CJ I think you must have some wacky car ride standards if you think a RX has a harsh ride. I don't think I've ever actually been in the 3rd gen RX but I find it hard to believe it has a harsh ride

Also from Edmund's review of the 2015 RX:

QuotePros

Quiet and attractive cabin with high-quality materials; plush ride; comfortable rear seating; generous standard features.
"On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit'. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high." - Ayrton Senna

CJ

I've only had loan cars with the 19s. If you were here, I'd show you on what roads the ride is noticeably worse than many other cars.

Sometimes overly soft suspensions can feel crashy on broken roads.  I personally find overly soft rides uncomfortable when the up and down motion isn't well controlled; leading me to near-sea-sickness.

That sounds more like a problem with a underdamped setup
