Corolla's already been guessed and subsequently shot down.

And it's not Russian.

TBR

Is it Swedish?

93JC

No, it's not Swedish.

93JC

It's European. That's all I'm giving you.

Well it was worth a shot (not that I could have gone much furthur).

Not a bad strategy really. Would have narrowed you down to Volvo or Saab.  ;)

Raghavan

i think it's german as 93JC didn't say yes or no.

Maybe or maybe not.

I wanted to stop the rapid narrowing-down of your field of choices. This is a game who's purpose is to guess the car, after all. It isn't to get me to systematically eliminate entire manufacturers' or nations'-worth of cars to make it easier for you guys.

Limiting it to European is doing you guys a big favour in my opinion. The majority of guesses so far have been Japanese, so it should help a lot.

I'd be surprised if this isn't finished before page 7 (of the default posts-per-page setting).

Nope, not a Ford Cortina.

I said it's European, not Aussie. ;)

And no Dave, I'm NOT going to give any more hints on nationality, other than to say it's European.

Well jeez... didn't you read the little rant a few posts back?

You're all going to feel stupid when it's been guessed correctly.

It is a Vauxhall Viva. (well, this example was badged as Firenza. You can't really make it out, but this one is LHD, and was sold in Canada. Third-generation Vivas were sold as Firenza in Canada. It was one of the most popular cars in Britain in the 1970s, but ended up killing Vauxhall in Canada (which had been the second-largest import marque after Volkswagen), as it was incredibly unreliable.)
