We know the general consensus for CarSPIN... but this is the Mainstream Room, so I figured we need one of these.

My order is

2) Altima <--- I love this car
3) Subaru
4) Mazda

That's it. I'd give up my license before driving an Accord.

Does the Legacy 2.5GT also count the spec.B, since the 2.5GT Limited is now automatic only, and the spec.B is the only one available with a stickshift?  And if I can't get the spec.B, then the Mazda6 gets my vote.  It would be even better if it were the 5 door.

I can't think of a single reason to get a Camry over an Accord.

After you wake up with the sun at 6am on someone's floor, coughing up cigarette butts and tasting like warm beer, you may well change your opinion on this matter.

ro51092

I can think of one.

Toyota's 3.5 seems to be a better engine than that Honda 3.0

Better yet, I can't think of a reason why somebody would take these over a Legacy, Mazda6 or even Passat 2.0T

3.5 litters doesn't seem to be bigger it is bigger. Even though the Camry makes more power it doesn't feel any faster and isn't nearly as fun to drive which isn't saying much in the first place.

Admittedly, none of them are bad cars--even the Camry.
2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

Mazda 6 GT for me, Subaru would be a reasonably close second. I could live with an Accord as well. A Pontiac G6 GT Sport Package would be nice as well (3.9L w/ 6MT). I wouldn't mind losing the Accord's refinement to get the better looks.

Never been a big fan of the Altima, and I hope I never have to drive a Camry on a regular basis.

heelntoe

legacy and 6 followed by the others.

BTW, raza, notice the callipers on the 6, camry and altima.
@heelntoe

VetteZ06

Legacy for me, followed by the 6, the Altima, and the Accord.

I'll never own a Camry.

Yeah, weird.  I guess there is no "standard" caliper placement.

I'd have to swap the grill on the Legacy for an older one though. Ewww...

Actually, you can see the caliper placement on SJ_GTI's car in his sig pic.  He's got a front pincher too.

He just got a 6 actually, I'm assuming it would be similar to the setup on your car.
