I'm going to buy a tube radio so we can huddle round it and, by the light of a single candle, listen to President Obama's fireside chats.

I'm going to guess about 3 votes for the Veyron.  Trep, Drinkwater, and at least one wildcard.

if i'm not mistaken, that mclaren is actually an LM.
@heelntoe

Onslaught

I would rather have the money. But I would take the McLaren.

SVT666

The McLaren F1 weighs 2200 lbs and the Veyron weighs 4400+ lbs.  I would be willing to bet the McLaren with 400 fewer horses would outrun the Veyron on the Ring...unless the Veyron already bested the McLaren. :mask:

You are mistaken.

Eye of the Tiger

Who cares if the Veyron is fast, it's a giantic boat that must make the driver feel completely isolated from the road, right?
747's are wicked fast, but I don't think they're much fun. Lighter  = better.

Well, that looks like copper/red to me.  Anyway, the LM has different front and rear clips, wheels, and a wing:

oops, you're right, i was thinking of something else.

Mclaren.  The F1 was the total package, designed for use in competition on the track where speed and handling were both priorities.  The Veyron is a novelty act.

McLaren!  Timeless design and shape, stands the test of time, and it takes a car with nearly 1000bhp to outrun it.

Veyron for me.  It looks better, is quicker by a significant margin, and would likely be a better investment long-term.  Plus, Gordon Murray is a prick IMO  :P.

If I wanted a race car for the streets, I would get an S7  :ohyeah:.
Difficult takes a day, impossible takes a week.

I wouldn't be caught dead in a Veyron.

For argument's sake, what would you do if given a free one?

Sell it.

+1. I'd use the $1.5 mil to buy like, 100 other cars

+2, except I'd only by 10 other cars.

the Teuton

I'd take the McLaren, and while I don't really like the Veyron, I'd probably show it off for a few days before selling it.
2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

The McLaren has/always will look better, is not quicker by much, only 64 McLarens built and are revered by enthusiasts... will appreciate in value moreso than the Veyron, and Gordon Murray is God.
S7??? Unsophisticated V8 lump of ugly carbon fiber.

McLaren, duh.

You can't fit two smoking hot little bitties in the Veyron can you?
