You must really enjoy the totally mundane Sedona, huh?

It's fine, but no design standard.

I know this statement is incompatible with your tastes, but a design doesn't have to be ridiculous or bizarre to avoid being dull.

The grilles on the new Toyotas are absolutely hideous.  Get rid of the grilles and the Sienna and the Venza look great.

Without the overly-garish grilles and fussily-sculpted bonnet, the exterior is quite acceptable. Goodness knows what is going on with that dashboard, however - it looks as if I made it out of cornflakes and stuck on photographs of wood floors cut out of magazines from 2002.

For comparison's sake, here's the dashboard of the similarly-sized Toyota Tarago sold here:

For all our model's flaws, at leas they didn't try to give it center-mounted gauges.

Do not want. Not in the Yaris, not in the Tarago, not in a Mini.

Guys, it's a minivan. Other than the ugly new Toyota grille it looks fine for what it is. All vans are dull and ugly.

I like the Mazda5.
It's small as hell so it's not as ugly. Blow it up and it be just like any other van.

Actually if you blew it up then it be all over the place.

The Odyssey is a fantastic-looking car:

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the Mitsubishi Grandis, too (although not the ugly new front end)

Uh huh, and what's its cargo capacity compared to a US minivan?

Another great looking minivan:

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and assume you already know the answer to that one, and that it's probably about ten square kilometres, a cheeseburger and a clicky pencil less than a Sienna.

I don't know exactly, but it was a rhetorical question in the sense that yes, if you make a vehicle much less practical you have a lot more styling leeway.

wow, makes you wonder why Honda ever bothered with giving us the Crosstour. This looks very sharp in black.

Submariner

If it didn't have the goofy lower body kit, that would look fantastic (for a van at least)

Considering that it's smaller the the US Odyssey but larger than Accord wagon, why don't you guess?

I guess 90 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats folded.

Trying to check my guess, I'm not finding that stat anywhere. But it does look as though cargo capacity wouldn't be close to that guess; an Australian site says the Odyssey has less space than a Kia Rondo -- a car with exactly half the room of a Sienna.

2o6

To be fair, the Odyssey is old.

The Rondo and the outgoing Sienna aren't exactly brand new either.

How could I forget?  The Seat Altea is nice too.

I think that's more Mazda5 sized though.

Smaller. It's the size of a Golf, just taller.

That is flat out ugly. Even by minivan standards.

And I don't care about cars from over the pond.
