Man I really really like it, very nice looking. The interior looks very high quality. It looks absolutely horrible in that orange color. But the red looks good and the silver looks awesome. I can't wait to see it in black, it should look mean as hell. I like the curves of the new interior compared to the old arts/science interior. I hope this seucceeds and really competes with mercedes/BMW/Audi?Lexus and gives them a good american competitor. Lincoln should be taking notes.
So far as I know, there are no black models yet. I hear there's silver, red and orange.
What about this orange picture?

Here are some more I found at World Car Fans--

I just cant get past that color, but that silver is hot. Those arent the only three color that production will be opened with right? Thats just the colors they have built currently? How do you think this will do next to the 3 series and G35?

The back looks sleek in an Eldorado kind of way.  The front looks kind of mean and elegant at the same time.  I, too, want to see how it does against the major players in the class.

Orange is infiltrating GM - the Commodore's 'hero' colour is a bright orange, and now Cadillac comes out with a metallic orange, too.

The original CTS had a similar orange shade.

You're right. I think the reason they did it up in orange was because that is how they released the first pics of the current model way back when.
Sort of like a continuation of the shock thing.

I think the G35 is fair game.
3-Series buyers wouldn't switch if they were being washed right over the Horseshoe Falls.

The CTS will take time to build brand equity, and a lot depends on the moves Cadillac makes in other markets as well--to build the brand.

I predict that it will handily surpass its current 60,000 per year selling mark based on the new interior alone. The exterior and other variants like a coupe and wagon (which appear to be coming) will probably pick up a few thousand more.

Here are a few more pictures:

It looks great in that pictures.

I wonder when they're bringing it to Europe.  It took them about 2-3 years for the first CTS and Chrysler took the same time with the 300C!

I'm not a huge fan of the steering wheel or the washed-out rubbery appearance of the console buttons. Oh and the pedal e-brake!  Other than that, sign me up. Love to have one.

Well if you can hoof it to Geneva from March 8 - 18 for the Geneva Auto Show, it'll be making its European premiere there.

Which may be your only chance to see it for some while.

These guys just say "next year"--

And these guys say: "The new CTS will be made in right-hand drive but won't reach the UK until late in 2008."

So you have two years to wait. :tounge:

Hopefully that is an exaggeration. Some people are saying it'll come out early in the USA. So we will see. That may happen in Europe too if all goes well. Maybe you might get to see LHD examples when you holiday in France.
One thing we know is that you guys will get Bluetooth in the car before we do.

P.S. In an unrelated note, one of the CAR Magazine editors thought that the Toyota concept:

Was the star of the show.
It barely registered in the media here--but it's interesting to see how different people think.

I wouldn't.

I like this a lot. I didn't like the first CTS at all, so this is an EXTREMELY vast improvement. This interior is excellent, they're putting a 6MT, and a 300 hp engine. GM should keep this up.  :ohyeah:

That's a long wait man!  I just hope it's not outdated when it hits our shores, as it deserves a good chance.  This car is looking so much better than the outgoing CTS and the BLS!

FIU Panther

Wow! What an improvement over the previous model. I love everything about it except for the sterring wheel and the console buttons. They seem small and hard to find. Besides that the car is amazing. That exterior knocks me out. I can't imagine it all black, this car screams badass.

I found my new favorite car.

I asked my mother-in-law (who owns a BMW 328Ci) if she would ever cross shop with cadillac and she just looked at me like I was crazy. That is the last time I will ask that question lest I be exiled from the family and not allowed to marry her daughter. I think total brand allegiance is stupid. If you dont cross shop other brands how do you know you are getting screwed. Are they planning a wagon version of this? That would kick ass. I heard somewhere that the new V will be a coupe with 550-600hp. If thats true, watch out everything short of a Ferrari Enzo. Anyone know if the new chassis will be able to cope with that kind of power?

Well in all fairness to her--and of course I don't know her--she may not really know what a modern Cadillac looks like at all.
I'd be willing to bet all she pictures is a land yacht from the 1980s.

GM has done an excellent job with this interior.

To my eyes the exterior lines of that car are all over the place.

I respect Cadillac. They deliver a truly American interpretation of luxury and have their own very distinct personality. This car doesn't look European or Asian. It looks American and that?s a good thing. More choices.

I agree with all the positive comments about the interior. It looks a whole level above the previous ones. I do not see myself in a CTS but still.........Cadillac is getting more and more appealing with each iteration.

I've heard its rediculously heavy though. 3800 lbs for RWD, 4100 lbs for AWD. Nearly 300 lbs heavier than a 530i and 530xi (which are about the same size).
