A short throw shifter is about $150 and installs in 30 minutes.

Now....how the fuck does an enthusiast say a supercharger is irresponsible?  There is nothing irresponsible about a supercharger...unless you can't buy food or pay your rent....and even then it's only marginally irresponsible.

I think it's more irresponsible to call that hair dryer a supercharger.

So much blue, it's like your car is stuck in the Matrix.

Very nice though. A few minutes with a vacuum cleaner and your interior will look spiffy.

Thanks. I should do a Photoshop levels adjustment. It's really blue.

Secret Chimp

Or you could not since I think we all know what a silver Focus looks like. You should blow the saturation to smithereens and have a super Takei rainbow explosion.

That's a great local brewery that we have. Do I drink their beer? No.

Eye of the Tiger

I don't know what a silver Focus looks like. I wanna see.

I like to use my extractor to eliminate that process.

Eye of the Tiger

Yeah, well I could see using an extractor if you were in a hurry, but I think it takes all the enjoyment out of it.

I still beat the floor mats before I extract anyways.  Less solid crap running through my extractorz.  Not that it really matters 'cause it's all just hose.  But wutevs.

Secret Chimp

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

I've put about 1500 miles on it so far

- Trunk inside release only works sometimes

- Passenger side window switch decided to start working, occasionally

- ABS and (Brake!) lights are still on. Not concerned.

- I killed my parking brake. It was pretty weak when I got the car, but I forgot to disengage it, and I drove down the street from work at 40MPH. Whoops.

- It will need new tires soon. Might put some new shoes on it, too. Not sure. Dad gets generous Firestone discount, so cost isn't a huge issue.

- Fuel economy is very good on the freeway. About 33-34MPG, I think. Haven't done any math, but I have gone much farther on less gas than when I had the Neon.

- Someone had a dog in this car, and I can't get the smell out.

- Might need new pads soon.

- Unlike Teuton, I have red lined my car, several times. Took it up to 6200 RPM, but there is no reason to go that high. After about 5700 RPM, the powerband falls on its face.

- I have no spare key. My job cuts keys, and it would only cost $3. However, since my key has a transponder, I have to go to the dealer for $80, or a local hole-in-the-wall shop for $50.   :banghead:

Other than that, I really like this car. It handles very well, and is just fast enough.

You mean you killed your rear brakes? There's no brake that's just for parking.

The line may have just split. I'll check it out tomorrow.

2o6

Let me check the rear pads and shoes. I still feel tension in the handle.

Maybe dust from the pads made one of the rear sensors dirty. Reasonable conjecture. I will have to find out and see, though.

IIRC yes, I think I've seen riced out first generation Foci with bright red (racing!!!) drum brakes.

I've seen plenty of civics, sentras etc. with the same, it is amusing.
