I'm looking at this tomorrow

She's sold.  Someone put a deposit on it.  But, the guys there are determined to get my sale, so they said they'll be on the look out for something similar.  Also, I'm going to look at a 1991 NSX (which is red, but a stick) that is too expensive.  34,900 for a 1991 is too much.  They're pulling in an M3 Cabrio tomorrow, which I might be able to look at, but unfortunately it's an SMG, but that won't stop me from looking.

That sucks, just stay on the look out.

Raza

They've got a 328GTS.  That's interesting.

Neither would I...but I've never driven a Ferrari before...that would be a thrill.

Well of course you're obligated to test drive it (;)), but I wouldn't buy it.

Raza

I wouldn't buy the M3 either, but I'm still probably going to drive it.  I don't like SMGs much more than I like automatics.

I've racked my brain, but I haven't.  I almost did, but my friend Zach drove it instead (MR-2).

There's no replacement for displacement.  And SMGs can't touch the clutch.

You should definitely try and take the M3 out for a test drive then. Even if you don't like it it should still be interesting.

Raza

I do plan on driving it, if just for the experience.  The Ferrari is just for kicks.  I've never driven one before.

I have a suggestion, what about an Aston Martin DB7? I couldn't find a MT but if you do find one you should be able to get a 97-98 for well under your budget.

This is a little out of your price range, but it is still worth a look (it would probably be just about perfect for you, a black MT Volante):

That reminded me... I think a Jag XK8 might be worth a look. Unless the engine was overdubbed in Memento, hoodoggies.

I'm swinging out to take a look at this 911 tomorrow, since it is so close to my house, and the price is good.  What do you guys think?  Should I try to fulfill a lifelong dream, or should I look into something like a 2003 Boxster S?
Damn, a 19 year old with a porsche!  You lucky Bastard!  :P  B)

I would have looked for a coupe, but I dont think i'd be pissed with a cabrio either.

Congrats, man.  :praise:

Well, go for it if it's a dream of yours. The rims sure look good but I am not a fan of the blue color of the car. Other than that, it's a Porsche so it should be serious fun to drive.  B)

Like that would be any more reliable than the Ferrari!  Plus, DB7s were kind of slow, until the Vantage model came out.

That would be perfect, but I really couldn't see that not getting vandalized at State College.  It's a shame that I have to worry about that really, but I do.

Besides, 63K is way too expensive.

XK8 is far too slow, and the XKR is still an automatic.

Not nearly as bad.  Astons are 120K cars, they would stick out a lot more than a 911 in a row of C classes.

Since when has a sub 6 second 0-60 been slow? And, you always could tell your dad that it will likely be worth more when you sell it than it is now (show him prices on V8 Volantes if he doesn't believe you). But, you do have a good point about it sticking out a little too much.

Raza

I thought they were low sevens in the original model?  Hmm.  But all in all, boutique British cars aren't cheap to own and maintain.

Yeah, your right. And, I really don't know the times, though I would think they would be at least under 7 seconds, it does have 350hp after all.

But it's very heavy.  Around 4000 lbs, I believe.
In any case, I appreciate the advice.

Actually, it has 340hp and so far the only number I have found is 5.7.
