Few folks were angry at the suggestion that Honda might make a fool of all of us a 3rd time

"B-b-b-but they made a commercial!"

"I have heard from VERY important people that this is gonna happen"

"You'll SEE!!!!!!"

mmhmm,

The NSX will be hitting streets right around the time nissan drops a turbocharged S chassis replacement that weights 2500lbs and starts at $18,999.

Honda might be feeling a little apprehensive after the CRZ fiasco. No matter what techno g-whizzery they put into it, the new NSX needs to be a proper sportscar and pay proper homage to the original.

They seemed confident enough to get Seinfeld to do a Super Bowl commercial..........................

Yeah but I'm talking about the delay to this point. It's possible they're happy with it now.

Honda will release the NSX the same day Dr. Dre releases Detox.........

I wonder if cars like the Corvette C7 are a bit problematic from Honda's point of view?

No question. On the other end of the scale, there's the BMW i8 to worry about.

For 100K I bet they could make sure the NSX wouldn't overheat  :pee:

My uncle is the manager of a big Honda dealership in Maryland.

Check.

Mate.

And I talk shit to spice it up. This place would be lima beans, brown rice and boiled chicken breast without me.

I know of several people that have driven and seen the damn prototypes.

Honda's been putting it all over their JDM press, as is Acura.

Who would have thought making a small hybrid that wasn't very fast nor got particularly good mileage would have been a flop?

Much of the allure of the original NSX was that it was as good, if not better ( I think many people would say better) than the Ferrari 348, which wasn't a particularly good car.  Acura would have to work quite a bit harder to recreate that equation this time around.

And yet, the TLX, which is also a 2015 model, is on sale and on the streets.

And there were running prototypes of the last two NSXs as well.

We are almost down to 30 days to 2015. It's not going to happen.

I think it's been a given for a few months now that the NSX will be a 2016 model.

How much do u wanna bet it will get bumped to a 2017 model next year

There's more going on with this car than you know.  It was damn near completion, and they decided last minute it wasn't good enough in certain areas and are making big changes to it.  It'll be delayed but it is still definitely alive.

I maintain they've dumped entirely too much money to turn back at this point.

What the fuck are you gloating about?  That the program is delayed?

Months ago you said it would never happen.  Based on zero knowledge.  You're gloating about a Miss Cleo prediction, that all signs point to being wrong still.  :wtf:

2G NSX program has been delayed for the last 9 years.... wats another 9 :evildude:

It was good enough for them to parade around and make commercials for.... but not release?

Watever dude.

If nothing else I was right about this not coming out for 2015. I get the feeling I will be right again. Just like I was about the ATS  ;)

You're like a 5 year old kid, yelling it's going to rain every day.  When it rains, you like to gloat about.  But none of this is based off any knowledge or reality.

You keep being the 5 year old.  I'll be the weatherman   ;)

I wouldn't let commercials be any indication on release date.  Hell, GM strutted that Camaro around for years before releasing the thing.

Stupid move IMO.  The Camaro seems like it's been around decades in my mind
