So no VR6 in the next Golf R after all it seems, plus the Golf VIII is delayed until 2020.

Is there a press release or just a leak somewhere?

I'm not looking to get out of my current car any time soon...but if the same car was being sold with a VR6 I would probably be at the dealer tomorrow looking to trade up to the new model.

Was behind these two cars today, and they both had cool stickers. The BMW 330d sticker is a jab at Audi.

A hardcore FC Bayern Munich fan and they're driving a Toyota. Why not an Audi or a BMW?

Those midengined cars love to snap oversteer when you tap the brakes after accelerating like that. I've seen a couple of Ferrari videos of the same exact thing.

Lift-throttle oversteer.

Nomis and his Elise should know about that.

Today's shoot: two 2019 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG Edition 1, worth 220,000 Euros each. I am conflicted. One the one hand I don't like SUVs, on the other hand, driving these is so much fun!

I think he just broke rear traction from acceleration and over corrected. If you watch in slow mo, the rear end starts to step out while he's still on the gas, assuming that the video and audio are synced appropriately.

I'm confused by the constant brake light flickering. Can't tell if he was left foot braking and touching them when he shouldn't have, or if its the camera shutter making them flicker. (I don't think so, because I don't think his tail lights were on)

The brake lights flicker right before it steps out. He countersteered, but not much. Just enough to get it to snap.

I assumed he just had his hazards on for some reason. The rear end steps out to the left first, then he taps the brakes and it kicks around to the other side.

Don't some stability systems flash the hazards if the vehicle starts to lose control?

I thought they only turned on if a collision was detected.  Granted, a high-G event might be enough to set them off without an actual crash (if the tires are really sticky, you start to slide, then suddenly grab traction again).

I've seen them turn on under heavy braking. Not sure about general stability control issues.

You're right, some Euro cars will flash them under heavy braking.  I've also seen strobed brake lights (popular mod on motorcycles).

The medium non metallic gray color in the new F150 cost an extra $2000! over regular black. WTF is the deal there?
Is Ford trying to piss off customers?

Sweet, I love plain non metallic grey! That's pretty much just the primer with a clear coat, right?

If the pricing is anything like it is in Canada it's not that the paint costs more, it's that you can only get the grey colour with certain option packages.

shp4man

If you do the "build one" thing online and only add medium gray over a regular color...Bam... an extra $2K.. :wanker:
