Choose ONE car from your birth year

You will be given ONE car only from the year of your birth. I could choose a '68 Ferrari 330, Daytona, Dino, a Lambo Muira, a 427 Corvette, among others, but I
choose a 1968 Charger:

2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

She'll hate diesel passenger cars, all things Ford, and fiat currency.  They will masturbate to old interviews of Ayn Rand an youtube together.

Either that or a 944.
Can't make up my mind.

I miss the F40 by 1 year so I'll take the 959.

I really like the GNX, too, though, but I'd rather have 2.85 liters of turbocharged fury over 3.8.

After you wake up with the sun at 6am on someone's floor, coughing up cigarette butts and tasting like warm beer, you may well change your opinion on this matter.

You're sure right about that, man.  I remember it well.  A terribly dismal period for automobiles, unless you liked plain, ugly cars that couldn't get out of their way, and crapped out after 50,000 miles.

NO FAIR! :rage: I have the worst birth year hands down as far as this question is concerned (1980)

In spite of that, I did manage to remember this beauty:

1980 was a terrible year for cars.  That was the year that Jimmy Carter hailed the production of the Ford Escort as the answer to competition from the Japanese manufacturers.... [and he hasn't gotten any smarter in the intervening years..]

I thought it meant a car that was available in your year of birth.

Of course, when I was born, cars hadn't been invented yet.... :evildude:

You picked the same car I did, but apparently, the look changed in the two years between when I was born and when you were born.

LOL it's unfortunate that Ford may have taken that compliment a little too seriously :mask:

I've always been madly in love with the 63 to 67 Stingrays.  The 62 was the last year for the more original styling, and is definitely beautiful in its own right.  But I can remember reading the Want Ad when I was in High School around 1980 or so - you could buy a numbers matching 63 to 67 with the 427 for around $18,000.  Now, a little closer to $60 or $70k. It would have been an appreciating asset!
